Job Description: Floor Technician Job Summary: Sheen & Shine Inc. is looking for a hardworking Floor Technician to join our cleaning team. While we are willing to provide training to the right candidate, you should have some janitorial experience and familiarity with various cleaning products, techniques, and equipment. The duties of this job include sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and buffing the floor surfaces of commercial buildings. You may also help clean or extract and install carpets, so carpet installation experience is a plus. In some cases, you may have to move furniture for floor access or be asked to perform other light cleaning tasks. Reports to: Jon Dennee Essential Functions • Sweep and mop floors • Assist with striping, buffing, and waxing surfaces • Clean or shampoo carpets • Perform light window and wall cleaning duties • Maintain equipment and supplies • Follow workplace safety standards Operations - Oversees cleaning operations, processes and procedures, to ensure that customer requirements are addressed - Ensures that location has appropriate equipment in good working order and sufficient supplies and materials - Perform inspections - Responds to customer concerns and special requests - Routinely provides a status update to supervisor - Responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary facility at all times Performs other duties as assigned Education & Experience - Hands-on experience in janitorial services - A Minimum of 2 years janitorial experience in the cleaning business preferred - Possess a valid driver’s license, clean driving record and a vehicle - Physical stamina - Attention to detail Knowledge Skills & Abilities - Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of all jobs required to clean a commercial facility - Knowledge and understanding of OSHA laws and regulations
