VCRC PROGRAMS YOU ARE SUPPORTING1. Youth Volunteer Corps – This is the youth program for kids 11-18 to promote volunteerism, vocational learning and experiential learning for students in Racine. We are losing partial funding this year, which includes Sarah’s salary, so this is a huge gap we are looking for support from this year. 2. MyRIDE- Racine County’s only free rideshare program for seniors (uber for seniors). We have 27 volunteer drivers and 1 part-time driver and we are looking to expand the program this year so we are covering more of the county than in previous years. 3. Skill Bank- Connecting seniors with handy people who will work on small household repairs at a discounted rate. 4. AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP- program for people ages 55+ to volunteer in the community. We support Meals on Wheels, Senior Companion, St Vincent de Paul Food Pantry, Habitat for Humanity ReStore and more. 5. EZ-ID- Fingerprinting and photo collection program to help identify youth and seniors in the event they go missing. 6. Galaxy – Database of over 2,000 Racine County residents who are willing to volunteer. Also, agencies are able to register their organization for free and promote their own opportunities as well as track volunteer hours.
