About Your Yoga Instructors:Keturah Williams: Keturah grew up in the greater Washington DC area and received her bachelor’s degree in biology and a master’s degree in health policy and management from Carnegie Mellon University. Following graduation, she joined the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and during the 2013 government shutdown, she discovered her love of yoga. She earned her 200-hour yoga teacher certification from the Marianne Wells Yoga School in Costa Rica and began offering weekly classes to NIH employees. Keturah moved to Seattle in 2019, formed the wellness company, TavaTu, and began teaching power yoga, yin yoga, and chair yoga while working remotely for the NIH as a Senior Budget Analyst. Outside of work and teaching yoga, Keturah models for the Seattle-based TCM agency and enjoys spending time with her dog BJ. She loves finding ways of making yoga accessible to all body types, ages, and abilities and looks forward to sharing her love of yoga with you! Leshon Simmons: The art of finding inner peace. Leshon grew up in central California and received her bachelor’s degree in information technology from The University of Arizona Global Campus. She currently works for the health department, helping to bridge the gap between economic and wealth disparity as a public health relations assistant. She is passionate about her community, often volunteering and giving back to those in need. Leshon discovered her love for yoga and meditation traveling around the world. Leshon credits meditation work with helping her to own her thoughts, change negative thought patterns, and become more self aware. She believes that meditation saved her life by lowering her stress levels and improving her focus. Yoga is the pathway to self-discovery. We'll see yo there. All Love, Sync Seattle
