Description

On behalf of the Department’s faculty, staff, and students I would like to cordially invite you to attend and participate in the 2023 Child and Adolescent Development Career and Internship Fair at CSU Northridge. Please join us – Thursday, February 16, 2023 from 10am to 12:30pm in the CSUN University Student Union, Grand Salon. The Fair is sponsored by the Department of Child and Adolescent Development which currently has over 1000 undergraduate students earning their B.A. in Child and Adolescent Development. Students specialize in Applied Developmental Science or in Early Childhood Development based on their personal interests/goals. Our graduates receive an interdisciplinary foundation in developmental processes from conception through early adulthood with an expressed focus on applying theory to practice and valuing evidence-based approaches to facilitating the healthy development of youth and families. These students are interested in exploring volunteer, paid, and internship opportunities at organizations children, youth, and families. We are hoping that you and/or a colleague will represent your organization at the upcoming Fair. The Fair is a venue for you to advertise any and all opportunities for current college students as well soon-to-be college graduates—as we have over 300 seniors planning to graduate this May. We will be marketing the event UNIVERSITY-wide as a way to meet established professionals in the community and learn about various organizations serving children & families. This is also an opportunity to network and connect with other organizations as well as CADV faculty and staff. --- If you choose to participate, you will be an assigned a table (6 ft x 2 ½ ft) on which to organize/display materials and/or meet with interested students. Please bring a tablecloth and any materials that may help inform students about your organization and career opportunities now and post-graduation. Promotional items are great to bring as well. If you are able to join us, please RSVP as soon as possible (by 2/9/23) to reserve a table for your organization – participation is free and space is limited. Additional information, including parking information and directions, will be provided closer to the event. If you have any questions or need more information, please do not hesitate to contact Dr. Rika Meyer at 818-677-5243 ([email protected]). We hope to see you at this year’s event!
