A Note About Ticket Types: There are three different Ticket Types. You will need to choose the appropriate one in order to register. WA State Weatherization (WX) Agency, Tribal, or WA State Department of Commerce Staff: Those who are employees of a Commerce-recognized Wx Agency, a staff member of one of WA State's Tribes (with approval by Commerce), or Commerce staff. The list of Commerce-recognized Weatherization Agencies can be viewed here. WA State Wx Agency-Associated Contractor: Contractors working under one of the WA State Wx Agencies (see above). At registration, you will be required to list the WA State Wx Agency(ies) you are associated with. General Public/Non-Associated Contractor: Those who neither work for nor under (as a contractor) one of the WA State Wx Agencies (see above). Multifamily TREAT Energy Modeling SoftwareREQUIRED: You must have MULTIFAMILY TREAT installed on the computer or laptop you will be using during the training (see below) If your computer or laptop you plan to use is somehow controlled by your IT for security, then you will need to do the following before the training: - It is REQUIRED you have MULTIFAMILY (MF) TREAT installed on your computer or laptop and you must test running MF TREAT (can you open MF TREAT without encountering an error message that stops the application?) in some location where you do not have access to your work network. This will ensure that you can run TREAT correctly at the training location. Course Description: The IN-PERSON Intro to TREAT (Targeted Retrofit Energy Analysis Tool) for Multifamily course is a 1-day (8 hour) training followed up with another meeting a week later including time set aside for collaborative review. This course is designed to prepare students to use the Washington State Department of Energy (DOE) approved energy auditing tool TREAT. This training will cover how to model existing homes, create improvement packages (including weatherization related repairs, ancillary measures, and leveraged funding), determine Savings to Investment Ratios (SIRs), and how to justify and prioritize energy conservation measures as outlined in Washington State Department of Commerce (DOC) Policy.
