Safe Drinking Water Campaign Walk for Water

Description

The walk will begin at Berkeley High, on the Green at 4:00. We will meet up and start walking towards Cal campus until we get to the campanile. Then we will have snacks and head back down, where we will hold a gift giveaway. We are doing a walk to symbolize the ways in which children often miss school and walk miles in order to get water. We are requiring a $5.00 fee to go on the walk, which includes the snacks and giveaway ticket. However, we recommend you donate $8.00, which will provide one child in Vietnam with safe drinking water! All of the proceeds we receive at this event will go to the sustainable clean water filter that we are currently funding at the school in Lao Cai.
