Killington Resort, Darkside Snowboards, and Burton are teaming up once again for the 9th Annual Slash & Berm Banked Slalom.  Snowboarders will gather at Killington's The Stash terrain park to take advantage of the natural terrain and all the creative elements the mountain has to offer for a great cause. This year's event will benefit Ryan Manning to help with his medical bills and care for the journey ahead. The action will start on Friday with a Shop Team Invite-Only banked slalom event.  Shops will enter teams to compete for the Slash & Berm Banked Slalom title. Saturday's event is open to all snowboarders and will be timed individually. The action continues on Sunday with the Grom event to take place in the Lil' Stash at Ramshead. Returning this year will be the Just for Fun Run. This will be geared for participants who'd like to run the course in a non-competitive manner.  All participants of this division will be entered into a raffle for some great prizing. RegistrationSaturday check-in will be held on the 3rd floor of the Bear Mountain Lodge in the Fuel TV Lounge from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on event day. All athletes must check-in prior to 9:30 a.m. in order to receive a bib and compete.Sunday check-in will be held on the 3rd floor of the Ramshead Base Lodge from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on event day. All athletes must check-in prior to 9:30 a.m. in order to receive a bib and compete.Entry fee is $50 for the Open Division, which includes lunch.Entry fee is $25 for the Grom Divisions.$60 competitor tickets will be available to purchase for Saturday's competition (all competitors MUST have a lift ticket or pass in order to compete).Due to the location of Sunday's event, competitors will not be required to have a season pass/lift ticket in order to compete. $60 competitor tickets are available for purchase on Sunday (for competitors ONLY) if they don't wish to hike to the venue in the Lil' Stash.No registration/check-ins will be taken after 9:30 a.m. on Saturday or Sunday.Due to the nature of this event, competitors are required to have a season pass/lift ticket in order to compete.All participants of Slash & Berm must fill out an Express Assumption of Risk form. Participants under 18 must have a parent/guardian fill the form out for them.If spots are still available, day-of registration for the event will take place from 8:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. at the respective check-in locations. RulesEach participant must wear a properly fastened snow sports helmet during all event practice, inspection and competition.Scope it out. Make a habit of course/venue inspection before every event.Know your limits (skill and ability levels) and stay within them. This isn't the time to try something you've never done before.Due to the course location, there will be no spectator area on Saturday.Saturday: Best of 2 runs; 1 missed gate results in a disqualified run.Sunday: Best of 2 runs; 1 missed gate results in a disqualified run.  FAQs Will I need a lift ticket/season pass to participate in this event? All participants in Saturday's event will need to have a valid Killington lift ticket for the day in order to participate. $60 lift tickets for the day (for competitors ONLY) are available for purchase here and can only be picked up during registration on the event day. All participants in Sunday's event do NOT need a lift ticket to participate. The course inside the Lil' Stash will be accessible via hiking on our uphill travel route on Header. If any participants do not wish to hike, $60 lift tickets for the day (for competitors ONLY) are available for purchase here and can only be picked up during registration on the event day. If a parent/guardian wishes to purchase a lift ticket to accompany their child to the course, there are $95 Parent/Guardian Lift Tickets available for purchase here as well. What if I want to register for the event and my division is sold out? If your division is sold out and there are still tickets available in other divisions, PLEASE DO NOT purchase entry into another division. Instead, email [email protected] and ask if we can add another spot to your division. If we see that you signed up in the wrong division according to your listed age/gender, we will contact you and ask to move you into your proper group. Most of the time, we will allow entry into a previously sold out division, but registering for the wrong division on purpose will mess up our recordkeeping.
