Join us on Sunday, February 19th at the Lower Mousam Lake Boat Launch in Shapleigh, ME for a day of fun and excitement on the ice! Even better, it's FREE fishing weekend! So we welcome everyone regardless of fishing license, age or experience to enjoy a day of fun and games on the ice! Whether you are new to ice fishing or just looking for an opportunity to get out on the hardwater with other anglers, this is the event for you! If you have your own gear you are more than welcome to bring it, limited gear will be available to participants who do not have their own.This event is in partnership between the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife and local Registered Maine Guide, Jake Rackliff of Cast and Call Guide Services. **Please NOTE, this is free fishing weekend so fishing licenses are not required. If interested, you can purchase your annual license valid until December 31st, 2023 here.Additionally, we ask that you please dress accordingly for the weather as this event will take place regardless of temperature (waterproof winter boots, warm socks, snow pants, hat, mittens or gloves, warm jacket and layers!).
