The Central District Baptist Association is the leading African-American Christian organization in Central Iowa. The District is composed of 20 churches. Within these churches; there are pastors, ministers, and congregations that contribute to the well-being and spiritual maturity of the greater Des Moines metro and surrounding communities. In 2023, we will be celebrating 90 years of proven leadership, community activism, and collaboration. These mechanisms are our forces to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to Worship God, Share Christ, and Serve Others. Our vision of building authentic relationships with one another, healthy lives that live with purpose, and transforming our communities (near and far), are all at the center of the work we do. It’s Celebration time!! Our Emerald Celebration is being planned and we are hoping that you can play a part in it. On March 4th, 2023 we will host an evening of fellowship and remembrance with an “Emerald Gala” at the Holiday Inn-Downtown Des Moines. We are requesting that you assist us in making this event a success by purchasing a table to seat 8 for $600, an individual ticket for $75 and/or place an ad in the souvenir book for that night. Events such as these in the past have been well received and attended by 200+ individuals. Central District Baptist Association is a 501c3 and all donations are tax-deductible and a receipt will be provided. Community is important to you and it is important to us.
