NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC - BEYOND KING TUT: THE IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE San Diego Mensa is hosting their Third-Friday Monthly Gathering for February 2023! Come join us at the National Geographic Beyond King Tut exhibit at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. Details: Group entry is slated for 6 pm on February 17th, 2023. The group will need to meet as early as 5:30 pm to confirm tickets. Groups of 50 are admitted every 15 minutes for an exhibition tour that lasts just over an hour. Guests are welcome to stay longer. No food or drink is sold on premises. Groups will be accompanied by non-group guests until the maximum admitance capaity is reached. After the exhibition, Mensa event members and guests will carpool to Viewpoint brewery for dinner and drinks, and discussion. Please dress warmly and comfortable. This event is open to non-members. Using the next generation of visual storytelling this exhibit goes beyond a traditional artifact display and uses the power of photography and larger than life multimedia to showcase all the exquisite detail and artistry of these ancient items. Through nine distinct galleries visitors are transported into the past through a unique narrative of this 3,000-year-old story.
