You are invited to spend an evening in a book club discussing Anthony Ray Hinton's New York Times Bestseller, The Sun Does Shine: How I Found Life and Freedom on Death Row. Hinton, falsely accused for two crimes, tells the inspiring story of his fight for freedom in the justice system. This book tells "a powerful, revealing story of hope, love, justice, and the power of reading by a man who spent thirty years on death row for a crime he didn't commit."
Facilitated by Dr. Angela Naimou, books will be provided and the club will be held the Cheezem Education Center.
Additionally, the Humanities Hub of Clemson is hosting a two day social justice program. On March 8th, Representatives from various law schools will be speaking followed by a public viewing of 'Just Mercy' . Lastly, on March 9th, Anthony Ray Hinton will be speaking at the Watt Center Auditorium on Clemson's campus starting at 5:30 p.m. Click here to learn more information about these additional events as they are posted.
