Dr. Wax Orthodontics and ECO (Engage Community Organization) are excited to host our annual Paddle for Paws event. Grab your kayak, paddle board or canoe and join us on the water! Our route will take you from the Lake Ponema boat launch, down the Shiawassee River to the Linden Mill Pond! The event takes place on Saturday August 20, 2022 and proceeds go towards our friends at Adopt A Pet of Fenton, Michigan. Here's a few "Need to Know" details about the event: 1. We will meet at the "loading site" Hyatt Elementary (Linden, MI) to check in on August 19th beginning at 10am. Our crew will load up your kayak, paddle board or canoe onto our trucks and trailers - you don't need to lift a finger! You will however need to get on one of the busses provided and head over to the Lake Ponemah launch point! (No kayakers to launch past Noon). 2. Once at the launch site, we will unload your boat and send you on your way! Then it's time to enjoy the 45 min - 1 hr route that ends in Downtown Linden. 3. When you have reached the end of the route (Linden Mill Pond) our crew will meet you there, load up your boat and transport you back to Hyatt Elementary for our after PAW-ty!!! 4. Pets are MORE than welcome and encouraged! (Life preservers are also encouraged). See less
