PRO VOCALIST WANTED (Prefer MALE, but will consider FEMALE if it's the right fit) FOR 80's / 90's ROCK / HARD ROCK COVER BAND ACT Info about the position: You will be doing lead songs as well as singing back up during any given performance. Must be able to do harmonies and you should be very comfortable on stage. Prior experience is preferred (stage presence / personality, lots of energy for live shows, etc.), look and dress the part of the 80's, and be reliable. Most shows are local, but the band performs throughout the state of Florida, so some travel may be involved to get to certain gigs. If you have an ego or have a problem sharing vocal parts, this is not the band for you. Long hair is desired and encouraged, as it fits the overall band image, but not required. If you can sing, but you've never been in a band, we wanna still hear from you! We may be willing to train the right person if you are eager and want to learn, even if you are young, we've had a few 14-15 year olds in the band over the years, we go by talent, not by age, so this may be a way to get started in your first band! BedRock is a well-established, very active, professional band with management that has a history of continuous paying gigs lined up, they perform at large venues, fairs, festivals, etc., Here in Florida, they've performed at: The Clay County Fair, Arnold's Lounge, Culhane's Irish Pub, The European Village, Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena, The Stout Snug, The Green Cove Springs Memorial Day Riverfest, and The Orange Park Fall Festival just to name a few. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU ARE NOT VOCALLY QUALIFIED FOR THIS BAND - watch the band videos - that will tell you a lot about what we are looking for and the qualities you need to have before applying. We are looking for someone dedicated and able to commit time to the band without other musical projects, as this band stays very busy. It would not work if you're in another band. NO DRUGS OR HEAVY DRINKING. If you say you've performed publicly before, we need to see and hear how you would be on a stage before we would arrange an audition. If you are new and this would be your first band, try to have someone do a video of you singing to a recording. This is a fun, professional band, well organized, all pro members, but thankfully no attitudes or egos. Must have own transportation and equipment. Great opportunity for the right person. You will need to do an audition, and then rehearsals will be once a week in Jacksonville.
