My name is Erica L, I’m a second-year Dental Hygiene student at Plaza College which is located at 118-35 Queens Blvd in Forest Hills, Queens. The cleaning is free and I have a few weekdays you can pick from:
Monday afternoon 12:30 pm-3:30 pm
Monday evening 4:30 pm- 7:30 pm
Wednesday 8 am-11am
and every other Friday 8 am-11 am
The appointments are around 3 hours in duration.
The cleaning is done in our school’s dental clinic, we can treat patients of ages 2 and up.
How does it work?
The visit is broken up into 2 appointments
1st Appointment is the assessments, during this appointment, I will take your vitals, review your medical history, perform an oral cancer screening, periodontal probing, and gingival assessments, review home oral hygiene care, and we will make a custom plan to clean your teeth according to your oral health needs.
2nd Appointment is the cleaning, this visit MUST be completed after the assessments. During this appointment, I will clean and polish your teeth, perform a “deep cleaning” such as scaling and root planning if necessary, and apply fluoride or sealants if needed.
