Sarah is a wonderful companion and an all-around great dog. We adopted her from the Human Society last September. They said she is a Border Collie and American Staffordshire Terrier mix. At almost 7 months, she is around 45 lbs. She still has some of her puppy exuberance, but her overall temperament is sweet, affectionate, and mellow. She is smart and eager-to-please, a good watchdog and also great with company. She gets along great with my 3 elementary school-aged children, who love playing with her. She also tries to play with our cats, who each respond in their own way. She loved playing and wrestling with my parents' puppy, and she does well at the dog park. She can shake, lay, speak, and stay. She is also crate trained, although we only use it when we go out of the house for more than a couple hours.
Sarah is a wonderful dog, and my kids and I absolutely adore her. My husband, however, is not a dog person -which we didn't know until we got one. He prefers the independence of our cats.
Sarah is spayed and up to date on all her shots and flea/heartworm prevention (we've been giving her Spectrum). She comes with her puppy food, toys, treats, bed, bowls, leash, etc.
