Sewing Machine Operators will operate industrial sewing machines to sew all products in accordance with company performance and quality standards. The industrial sewer maintains sewing machines and related parts, including pattern plates, needles, presser feet, automatic cutting tools and blades. This Full Time Entry-Level Automotive Sewing Machine Operator position is based out of Livonia, MI. Candidates who possess a passion for sewing and meet the requirements below for this Full Time Entry-Level Automotive Sewer position are strongly encouraged to apply. Responsibilities of Sewers: • Monitor machine operation to detect problems such as defective stitching, breaks in thread, or machine malfunctions. • Place spools of thread, cord, or other materials on spindles, insert bobbins, and thread ends through machine guides and components. • Position items under needles, using marks on machines, clamps, templates, or cloth as guides. • Guide garments or garment parts under machine needles and presser feet to sew parts together. • Remove holding devices and finished items from machines.
