Fenson Contracting is looking to hire a full-time shop/field mechanic to maintain, track, and manage 70 pieces of equipment, heavy trucks, light trucks, trailers, and small associated equipment. We are a civil construction company performing earthwork, water/sewer lines, demolition, concrete, and crushing. Average 45-55 hours per week, with flexible hours as needed to accommodate personal schedule Will involve associated paperwork and record-keeping Some weekend work may be required in the event of major breakdowns OFFERING UNION MECHANIC PAY FOR RIGHT CANIDATE WITH ADEQUATEE EXPERIENCE Company truck provided to take home and acceptable for personal use as needed, with appropriate experience Class A CDL is preferred but not required. Fenson is willing to pay for CDL upon hire Candidate will be full-time shop/field mechanic, and assist as lowboy driver and fill in driving truck as needed or on a crew, on a limited basis Hours may increase during the height of the season – April thru November Experience with Cat, Komatsu and Volvo equipment is preferred.
