Straight from the NY Comedy Festival and the Black Women in Comedy Laff Fest (4 years running!), Joke Sistas will have you laughing and loving this diverse group of Black women comedians. “Joke Sistas” is an unofficial sorority of the Black Women in Comedy Laff Fest. We are hilarious Black women that understand “we are not a monolith” and are strong advocates for telling it like it is, with love, emotional dexterity, and wit. Snacks and drinks are sold in the lobby before the show. Accessibility: The Black Box is ADA compliant, completely wheelchair accessible, has accessibility stalls in all bathrooms, and has both headphone and loop assisted listening devices connected to the theatre’s sound system. Covid Protocol: The Black Box Theatre will follow the guidelines set forth by the Montgomery County. Currently, the theatre requires mask wearing when not actively eating or drinking.
