Spring has Sprung
Hike the 1-mile-long nature trail at Newbury Township’s Oberland Park guided by Park Board secretary Judy Barnhart. Judy, a retired Geauga Park District botanist and president of the northeast Ohio native Plant Society, will highlight the varied aspects of this park from its farming and maple sugaring history, spring wildflower folklore to recent use as an Eagle Scout project location.
The Newbury Township Park conserves natural resources, protects wildlife habitats and sensitive ecosystems, and preserves land for the purpose of educational, conservational, and recreational uses, providing open space and rural atmosphere for future generations to enjoy.
