Guests are welcome to attend Rotary meetings. This meeting is a meeting between the Northwest Rotary Club and the District Governor of Rotary International's South Central Texas 57 club in 44 counties of this area. Rotary Club of San Antonio, Northwest • Some of the Service projects supported by the Rotary Club of San Antonio, Northwest, and its 501C3 Charitable Fund are: *Center for Refugee Services for legal immigrant settlement: We are currently helping legal immigrants from Afghanistan and Ukraine move to San Antonio. * Guatelmala Schools Project, which helps orphans and/ or school kids with supplies, food and school construction needs, partnering with a Rotary Cub in Antigua, Guatemala and parents of the school children and three different schools. * The CHANGE Program, assisting Dellview Elementary, a Title 1 School: We help with honoring children every nine weeks and at year-end for improvement changes in attendance and conduct, demonstrating leadership to others in school. * Salvation Army Children's Shelter support: we assist the children places in shelter in San Antonio with supplies, uniforms, and holiday celebrations. * St PJ’s Children’s Home: We provide donations of gifts and clothing at Christmas for orphans in San Antonio. * Our Rotary volunteers help the cleanup of NW Military Hwy for TXDOT in Castle Hills, 4 times a year. * Our Rotary volunteers are serving a lunch meal to the homeless at St. Vinny's Bistro at the Haven for Hope Homeless Shelter, 4 times a year * Scholarships: the Northwest Rotary Club Charitable Fund provides $1,000 to $2,000 scholarships every year for outstanding and students with needs we help with. Scholarships are available for college, university, or vocational trade training. * When natural disasters strike anywhere, our members provide disaster Relief for communities hit by significant disasters. Rotary Club of San Antonio, Northwest * Significant contributions to the Food Bank in San Antonio were made during Covid, 2020-2021, while many people were out of work and without food. * The Rotary International Foundation supports many initiatives worldwide, like programs for health, hunger, and humanity, polio vaccines for children, and malaria treatment/vaccine, and covid vaccines in 3rd world nations. Currently, Rotary International is very involved in the evacuation and assistance to refugees from Ukraine to other host countries, providing food, transportation, clothing, medicine, and shelter, temporary and permanent.
