It's cold outside, so that means it's time to get in the hot and spicy spirit of a good old fashioned chili cook-off competition! Join us for the 5th Annual Battle of the Beans Chili Cook-Off! And we're really spicing things up this year! We're teaming up with Nantahala Bank to bring you some major prizes. This competition is open to non-restaurant businesses in our community to battle it out to be crowned Chili Champ of the Year! Tastings are FREE and open to the public! HOW IT WORKS: - Sign your business up in our taproom or email [email protected] (spaces are limited!) - Each chili will be made with one of our current beers on tap - Judging will both from the public and a panel of judges - 1st Place Winner gets a big ol trophy to display and a $200 Cash Prize, $50 Lazy Hiker Gift Card (oh, and of course serious bragging rights!) - 2nd Place Winner - $100 Cash Prize & $25 Lazy Hiker Gift Card - 3rd Place Winner - $50 Cash Prize & $25 Lazy Hiker Gift Card 6-8pm - Chili Tastings (FREE & open to the public) 7-10pm - Karaoke! 8pm - Winner is announced In addition to the prizes, we also will be donating a portion of the nights proceeds to Mainspring Conservation Trust in an effort to help conserve our beloved waters, forests, farms and heritage of the Upper Little Tennessee River and Hiwassee River Vallleys.
