Description

This Dis(ability) Culture and Etiquette Training is for all Luskin students. Luskin students usually enter public service careers in govt, non-profits, and community service. We believe it is important for students to contribute to equitable work and learning environments. It is also important that students have awareness of ableism in classroom setting to create a safe learning environment for all at UCLA. The world of disabilities often seems scary and unrelatable to the average person but let me reassure you that it is not. At this session you will learn some about the culture of disability and the etiquette of working with and welcoming people with disabilities into your life. In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, D3 will honor requests for reasonable accommodations made by individuals with disabilities. Requests can be fulfilled more effectively if notice is provided by Monday January 23rd. Direct accommodation requests to [email protected]
