Description
Newly formed group looking for second guitarist (21 to 55 years old) to fill out line-up. Plenty of material to learn from primary songwriters and also welcome another songwriter and we also enjoy jamming together / writing material on the spot.
We have a nice studio with high end gear to record at and rehearse through headphones. We tune to D Standard. Looking to play gigs this summer. Might be able to book a small weekend festival this summer if we get to rehearsing soon.
A mixture of heavy and light, so if you and your cats are easily frightened by testosterone or on the other side don't like clean guitars/singing this isn't your gig. You don't have to play leads, but if you like playing solos there are spots for that in many songs. Experience with playing acoustic is welcomed, but not needed. We write for the song first and noodling second. Please be tight with playing without copious amounts of string noise on strings that you aren't playing on during a riff. We pull from many different genres, so if going from distorted off time palm muting double bass riff to a heavy German Waltz then to a clean strum and pluck section sounds fun then we are the band for you. It makes sense in context, I promise.
Prefer if you have live experience, recording or playing to a metronome experience, and aren't a strict abrahamic religious follower or DC Idiocracy NPC white guilt bot. We are pretty laid back, but don't welcome extremists from either side. Lyrical content is all over the place, but does include anti-modernism, metal sea shanties, and European Pagan war anthems.
Must have reliable transportation, a live rig, and no hard substance addictions. Some of us have a drink or two towards the end of rehearsal sometimes. Positive attitude and willing to rehearse at least once a week on average and maybe less once a live set is established or we are recording something.
