Caretaker Needed for Private Estate Refined and beautiful private country estate in Litchfield County requires an experienced hands-on caretaker. This large estate has meticulous, professionally landscaped grounds, organic gardens and a greenhouse. We need a dedicated and accountable person in the traditional role of caretaker – someone who will take care of and look after the property as if it were their own. The ideal candidate for this position will be someone who takes the initiative, is organized and possesses the ability to prioritize. High attention to detail, ability to work independently and a positive attitude a must! Experience in landscaping or similar caretaker role preferred. Some of the responsibilities and duties of this position include: -Lawn and landscaping maintenance. Organic lawn knowledge/interest a plus. -Snow removal -General handyman work -Outdoor lighting maintenance -Monitoring and light maintenance of landscape irrigation -Pool care -Automobile care -Caring for the family dog -Trash and recycling -Equipment maintenance -Greenhouse/plant care -Exterior building/furniture and patio maintenance -Some window washing -Assisting with outside vendors -Splitting and stacking firewood This is a full time, live out position.
