Utilities Superintendent The Superintendent is responsible for providing team leadership and setting the standard for workmanship, production and work ethic to successfully complete assigned, regional construction projects. Reporting to the President, the Superintendent will oversee field operations on multiple projects to ensure that self-performed and subcontracted work is in compliance with contract documents and the project schedule. Responsibilities will also include, but will not be limited to: • Assist in the development of project schedules and sequence of work. • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with contract specifications and plans. • Have working knowledge of owner contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders and submittals. • Be the point of contact for the release and delivery dates for all critical path material and equipment. • Attend internal and external project meetings in order to summarize field conditions and convey look-ahead activities. • Monitor field productivity by supervising field work to ensure all work is put in place in the most cost efficient and professional manner – Push the Work! • Have good working knowledge of heavy equipment. • Enforce company and client safety policies. REQUIRED: Minimum of 10 years of experience in Heavy, Main Line Utilities and deep trenching. Candidate must be computer proficient, able to prioritize tasks, and effectively communicate verbally and in writing with clients, and team members. We plan to double in size within five years and are building an A-player team to help drive that growth.
