We are needing to re-home our 1year 1 month old intact Shiba. He is on the smaller size for a Shiba which we really like! He is very intelligent, active and goofy. He loves to do tricks as well as is so motivated and focused to learn new ones. He also enjoys walks and just being outdoors and people watching. In the summer he likes to chase the water from the hose which is so funny to watch! When we visit family on there farm he loves to run and explore. He has been around cats as well as our 3 yr old so he is familiar with other animals. He likes other dogs just not other Shibas it seems. We are needing to rehome him because he really isn't a good fit for our family. We would recommend that his future family doesn't have kids. Also the owner needs to be authoritative with him as well as be willing to put in training time with him. Asa is for sure alpha and tries to "be in charge" while my husband is at work. He rarely challenges my husband. We have been having issues with him and nipping at myself as well as our daughter. He also isn't fond of visitors but with more training I think he would do better. We are certain he will be a great dog with the right person! We are disappointed but look forward to finding him a good home!
