Spades is a card game that has brought us joy, pain, laughter, and shade. It’s time for it to bring us money and notoriety. Bring ya best partner because it’s time for cash prizes and calling ppl out. This tournament will consist of 30 teams. Rules will be provided and will not change. In addition to Spades, we will have non-competitive gaming tables. Join us for a time of food, drinks, and good competitive fun. This is an adult-only event, for 18+. Sounds by DJ Nasty and Food Trucks will be on site. First Place Prize: $500 cash prize to the winning team Second Place Prize: $50 cash Good, Clean, Fun Entertainment Spades Allstars Rules All rules will be enforced by GCF. Any attempt to break, change or challenge the rules will be grounds for termination from the tournament. Registered teams must remain the same throughout the tournament. If a team member is unable to finish, the team forfeits and a new member cannot be selected.No table talking or texting will be allowed once the game begins. Table talking includes eye gestures, hand signals, or anything else deemed as table talking by the table. The first two rounds will be the best out of 5 Rounds 3 and 4 will go to 350 until 2 teams are left. Scorekeepers will be providedThe Championship Round is 500. A scorekeeper will be providedStraight cut-Straight deal. A Boston in the first game during the first round is a double win.Blinds are not allowedSpades can be played at any time.If you do not have any spades but you have face cards (Jack or higher) you have to play the hand. If you do not have any spades or face cards the hand can be re-dealt. A renig will cost 3 books. You cannot force a renig. If you catch your own renig you loose the book. If you call out a renig you must identify the card and book in which the player renig’d, if you are incorrect you will lose one book.No bags, bid your hand. Once your card is down on the table, you may not pick it up or change your mind. No spectators will be allowed to heckle, step in, coach or help a team.Misdeals must be re-dealt.The rank of the cards is Big Joker, Little Joker, Ace, King, Queen, Jack and so on. 2’s will be removed.Cards will be provided. Cards brought to the game will not be used. If a team challenges any rule, move or play during the game a designated ref will make the final decision on how the game will proceed forward.
