Description
DISASTER RESPONSE VOLUNTEERS:
Every eight minutes, the Red Cross responds to a disaster in the U.S., and most of these are local home fires.
When a home fire leaves a family stranded on the street, local Red Cross volunteers provide emergency financial assistance, emotional support and recovery help for their next steps. During COVID-19, volunteers often deliver this support virtually by working with the local fire department to connect with affected residents by phone or video call.
VOLUNTEER FROM HOME: Help from the comfort of your own home through a wide range of virtual opportunities, including Duty Officer which is Dispatching the Disaster Action Team.
If you have a passion for the military you can be a Service to Armed Forces Case worker.
