February is National HEART HEALTH month & the first Friday in February is National Wear RED day. That’s a day when the nation unites to show support & help raise awareness in the fight against cardiovascular diseases in women, (which is our #1 cause of death). According to the American heart association, research shows that there could be a physiological connection between mental & heart health. This Wear RED day event unites three dynamic individuals with diverse backgrounds who’ll help educate us about the link between our mental & heart health. Those speakers include, Dr. Tina C. Gresham, Cardiologist from Murfreesboro, Mental Health Therapist Maria Bush & Personal Trainer Mark Hamlett. Together, they’ll share their years of knowledge & experience to provide us with a better understanding of the ‘head-heart’ connection.
