Our Finance that Makes Cents Seminar for kids and teens is designed to teach children about money management and personal finance. The seminar will cover topics such as saving and spending money wisely, setting financial goals, understanding credit and debt, and investing for the future. The goal of the seminar is to help kids develop good money habits that will serve them well as they grow up and become financially independent adults. At the end of this seminar, attendees will have an opportunity to enroll in a stock investment contest in which the winner will receive a prize at the end of the year. Our facilitator will be Mr. Yaba Baker, who works with many DC Public Schools conducting financial seminars for students helping them to build a strong financial foundation . He also serves as an advisor to customers of one of the oldest and most successful black banks in DC, Industrial Bank. His work with these organizations helped Yaba achieved Executive Council awards back to back which represents the top 10% in the field of financial planning.
