Rock band seeking female vocalist who can sing backups and lead vocals and who also plays keyboards and/or guitar and understands music theory and can write great music and lyrics. Genre is not really important, soft to heavy stuff works, we just want to play good music. Some covers to start, but moving to more original music as we go along. We want someone who is dedicated, willing to put in the time and effort it takes to be a band people want to come see or listen to. We are not in our 20s... a little older than that, but we have all had experience playing in bands. Looking for someone with a great voice and a great attitude and who really wants to be in a band and play out. We practice about once a week (as we all have day jobs) and the plan would be to play out maybe 1-2 times per month at the most. We are playing covers now, but will work into original music as well. Genres aren't as important as song quality and sound quality. We plan to use the winter to get tight and to record demos in order to play out by spring. None of us is doing this to make money, but at the same time, we want to be compensated fairly for our time. We are not looking for someone who can fill in from time to time, but a full-fledged band member. We are fairly laid back, but we do take jamming and practicing seriously. We record our practices and we have the ability to make good recordings both during practice and with demos. We practice at my home (drummer) in Framingham. We have all the equipment necessary. You would need to bring your keys or guitar and amp though. Let us know if you are interested and please send samples of your singing and playing.
