Description

The goal of the walk is to promote acceptance and inclusion, to raise funds necessary to develop innovative and effective programs locally, and to enable us to positively influence disability policy. Families and friends whose lives have been touched by Down syndrome will join members of our communities in helping to raise awareness concerning the abilities people with Down syndrome possess. The walk around Hewitt Park includes music, games, and a Resource Fair. The walk is an easy one in which anyone can participate without special training. This is a great opportunity for all members of the community to come together in support and celebration of those with Down Syndrome in our community!
