POP UP! MLK Jr. Day of Service (and Fun!)

Schools are closed on Monday, Jan 16 in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. which makes it a perfect day for a Pop-Up Service activity! Join other service-minded, fun-seeking folks for an afternoon of giving back and CommUnity. We will shop for toiletries, make care packages for those in need, grab lunch, and then end our time together with some big trampoline fun. Agenda: Noon - We will meet at the Dollar Tree (14100 Baltimore Ave Ste A, Laurel, MD 20707). Shop for items on the Light House Homeless Prevention Support Center's "urgent needs" list. (Please plan to spend $10-15 per person on items.) 12:30 PM - Head over to the nearby Chic-fila (13600 Baltimore Ave Ste 600, Laurel, MD 20707) 3 min away, to grab lunch and lovingly create care packages using the items we just purchased. 1:30 PM - Our last stop will be the Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park (13446 Baltimore Ave, Laurel, MD 20707), 3 min away, to jump, laugh, and burn some energy. A volunteer will drop off the care packages on behalf of the group to the Light House Homeless Prevention Support Center located at 10 Hudson Street, Annapolis, MD 214021 in the evening.
