He was a finalist for the NC Artist Fellowship Award (NC Arts Council). He also opened for singer-songwriter Phillip Phillips (American Idol winner) at Greenfield Lake Amphitheater to a sold-out crowd. Dixon studied guitar performance at Berklee College of Music in Boston. His musical styles consist of pop/rock/soul.
