Join the 462 members of the Courthouse Preservation Partnership to help raise funds to save the 1969 Will County Courthouse building!
This building has received national media coverage as The World's Ugliest Courthouse - yet it's far better saved than destroyed. Its iconic midcentury architecture includes light-filled spaces, unique concrete features, and expansive interiors that can become an unforgettable community destination.
We have an opportunity to reduce the cost of redeveloping the 1969 Will County Courthouse building by up to 40% by applying for listing on the National Register of Historic Places, which will help secure crucial tax credits. Our National Register application will be considered by the Illinois State Historic Sites Advisory Council on February 24, 2023. All proceeds from the World's Ugliest Courthouse Kegger will help defray the costs of preparing our National Register application and other preservation expenses.
