I suppose in light of global news, it often strikes me odd what we focus on politically in the United States. I am quite old, and long retired. Haven't gotten into an accident nor received a ticket in > 20 years, yet my insurance rate jumped for no apparent reason 50% this year. That along with unexpected dental expenses and increased cost to purchase food and household items, I have wiped out a third of my retirement savings in the past two months. It's scarry beyond belief. I can no longer work an extra shift to try to maintain my security. The news suggests I should fret as well about what is going on in Washington D.C. They are all crooks! I suppose in June or July I will be fretting about something else, my current financial woes long forgotten. So is life!
