About the Class Join us for this 75 minute strength and stretch practice inspired by the duality of all things: yin & yang, salty & sweet, even PB&J! The yoga poses that we have chosen for this workshop will give you the opportunity to stretch deeply into muscle groups and myofascial tissues in order to prepare the body for strength poses that target the same areas. By taking a functional approach, we will focus on each individual’s unique anatomical alignment and offer variations that will allow you to get the most out of each pose, increase your body awareness and help prevent injury. About the Studio Humming Puppy is our yoga studio. All our classes are limited to only 30 places with an even and luxurious amount of room between each mat, so you can focus on your practice and not on another student’s behind! All mats are set in place prior to the start of class. It is a warm studio with a consistent Hum that replaces music being played in class. As a space for pause and sanctuary, Humming Puppy provides a yoga experience that honors traditional yogic practices. Central to our philosophy we guide movement alongside a curated and resonant ‘Hum’. A frequency of our own design to deeply soothe, or to simply generate good vibes. About the Program Our classes are not based on any one yoga style but reflect authentically the inspirations and backgrounds of our teachers. All offerings will include the fundamental principles of breath- pranayama, movement-asana and awareness- meditation. Humming Puppy teachers are a warm and welcoming collective passionate about sparking curiosity, conversation and connection through the practices of yoga. We are mindful of both embracing and being respectful of a diverse community in all of our offerings. We encourage an unhurried experience and the opportunity for meaningful connections.
