Description

This six-week series draws attention to the voice as a healing mechanism in the expressive and healing arts modality, Authentic Voicework. This workshop series guides you into the heart of your voice and authentic self. Themes include the voice as a barometer, your bodymind as an instrument, the vibrational voice as extension of self, and helps you reconnect to your unique voice and authentic self. Many vocal activities will help you to regain parts of yourself that may have remained hidden. Stephanie facilitates an open, deep and powerful experience that is sure to shake open and peel away negative feelings you may have about your voice. Return to your life with a renewed commitment to your authentic self. Your voice is part of you and deserves to be restored and celebrated. Join us! What is Authentic Voicework™? Founded by Stephanie Heidemann, LMT, Authentic Voicework: Yoga of the Voice is a program designed to birth and deliver the authentic self through your voice. Such a process gives rise to increased remembrance, intuition, energy, and awakening. How is this a form of yoga? Nāda yoga is an ancient Indian metaphysical and philosophical system that suggests that all that exists in the cosmos, including human beings, consists of vibrations, called nāda. This concept holds that it is the energy of vibrations, rather than of matter and particles, which form the building blocks of the cosmos. Nāda yoga is a reverential way of approaching and responding to these cosmic vibrations. The use of sound and resonance are employed to raise the level of awareness of the chakras, and our ‘inner cosmos’ music. Details Dress comfortably and ready for movement. (Jeans / skirts not recommended.) Bring bottled water, and your own yoga mat. Plan to arrive a little early to get centered and ready to move, and sing. Register early and save $25!
