The 2023 Rhomania Luncheon is a celebration of the launch of The Edna Alfred Smith Foundation and its STEM Scholarship Program. Edna Alfred Smith was an African American STEM Educator in the Chicago Public Schools and a Charter Member and Cultured Pearl of the Delta Xi Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. Her life and legacy epitomizes the sorority's mission to render service and leadership to enhance the quality of life for women and their families in the U.S. and globally through community service, civil, and social action. Join the women of the Delta Xi Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, and the Board of Directors of the Edna Alfred Smith Foundation, for our inaugural Rhomania Luncheon on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at the DoubleTree Hilton Chicago North Shore. Guests will enjoy a live performance by Violinist Windy Indie during a three-course plated luncheon, a special presentation on the legacy of Edna Alfred Smith and the importance of African American representation in STEM, and the awarding of two STEM Scholarships for graduating high school seniors.
