He is his sophomore year at Oakland School of the Arts, and since the sixth grade has been an active member of the Oaktown Jazz Workshops under the tutelage of Richard Howell. Ayo is a self-proclaimed purist when it comes to Jazz; when he is not listening to the late & current greats, he is mastering his craft on the various instruments he plays. To date, he has picked up the clarinet, bass guitar, drums, the EWI, and the soprano saxophone, alto saxophone, and his favorite, the tenor saxophone. Ayo plays local events whenever he can and frequents clubs in Brooklyn & Manhattan. As a student in a arts school, Zara has had the opportunity to showcase her art in regally scheduled exhibitions in the fall and spring time showings. Working with her peers, Zara served as one of the curators in Aug. of 2022 "Young Selves Unfolding" You Youth Art Exhibition in conjunction with OYAE (Oakland Youth Art Explosion) giving her an opportunity to work with budding young artist as they used visual arts to express themselves. The summer of 2022 Zara accepted a summer internship with MoAD's Summer Teen Program, Diaspora Stories Project where she was trained and learned to create and produce a Live Pod Cast with other Bay Area Artist.
