***Español Abajo*** This one day event is geared towards parents, professionals, and community members that work with Deaf/Hard of Hearing students to help them achieve their fullest potential. Topics covered Introduction to Special Education and the ABC’s of FAPE AND LRE Special Considerations for Students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing A Question of Eligibility including Birth to Three & Transition to Preschool Procedural Safeguards Assessment and Evaluation IEP’s & 504 Meeting Planning/Tools and Strategies Pre-orders For Educational Advocacy Guidebook are accepted until January 20th - $40, limited number of books will be available the day of the event. Mother's Room: CA H&V will have a Mother's Room available for anyone who does not have childcare. The ASTra Training will be shown in the Mother's Room (audio and video). If you bring your child, you may bring anything that they will need to be entertained and comfortable for the duration of the training.
