HOLLAND WATERFRONT CELTIC FESTIVAL & HIGHLAND GAMES Join us Friday and Saturday, June 23 & 24, 2023 for a celebration of all things Celtic, starting with a Friday night Cèilidh (concert/party) in a huge Irish Pub tent, followed by an all-day festival on Saturday! FRIDAY NIGHT CEILIDH ($20) -- 21 AND OLDER ONLY! (Includes FREE all-day Saturday admission!) Prior to Saturday's all-day outdoor festival, we'll have a Friday night "Cèilidh" (pronounced Kay'-Lee) or music party, featuring two great bands, and The Leprecons! NOTE: The Friday night Cèilidh is for those ages 21 and older only! (The gate opens at 6:00 PM.) The cost for this ticket is just $20 per person for two great bands. There will be a cash bar! The Friday Cèilidh hours are 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Again, Friday night is for ages 21 and older only, but this includes all-day Saturday admission! PLUS: YOUR FRIDAY CEILIDH WRISTBAND GETS YOU INTO SATURDAY'S FESTIVAL FOR FREE FOR A WHOLE DAY OF 8 MORE CELTIC BANDS! SATURDAY FESTIVAL ONLY ($10 admission for ages 13 & older. 12 & under are free!) On Saturday, we have eight Irish/Celtic bands playing in the huge Irish Pub tent. Plus four Michigan Irish & Scottish dance schools perform on the dance stage. 2022 groups were: McClintic School of Highland Dance, Ardan Academy of Irish Dance, Scoil Rince Ni Bhraonain, and The Michigan Irish Dance Academy. A Pipe and Drum Band will perform in the field. Hugh Irwin, the Kilted Magician will perform throughout the festival grounds. Liam the "Extra Large" Leprechaun will emcee the music stage Friday evening, and entertain throughout the festival Saturday. There will be Irish and Scottish food, plus Guinness, Harp, Smithwicks, Magners and local brews, hard seltzer, and whiskey and scotch! Enjoy a cold brew while listening to great music! Watch the kilt-clad Scottish athletes toss the caber, the sheaf, and other heavy weights for height and distance! Wander through Clan Row and perhaps discover your Clan. Explore your Celtic genealogy. Bring the "wee bairns" (little ones) to our children's area. Saturday Festival admission is $10 for those 13 and older and FREE for children 12 & under.
