Job Summary: Train and develop working knowledge of all company operating procedures. Become efficient in the use of and knowledge of Eclipse. Will take hands on approach with help and supervise operational activities, including counter sales, customer service, bookkeeping, warehouse inventory / cycle counts, payroll and personnel records for the location under the direction and guidance of Director of Operations and Regional Operations Manager. Job Responsibilities/Duties: -Provide support to ensure customer service is effective through personal efforts and supporting activities of staff including pulling and loading trucks daily. -Be proficient in the use of the company computer system (Eclipse), as related to order entry, purchasing, and all report queues (i.e. backorders, credit, hold, remote queue, etc.) related to any customer service. - Ensure all orders are received and correctly input into the computer to facilitate timely delivery and are billed/invoiced on a daily basis. - Ensure all transfers and vendor PO’s are received into Eclipse on a daily basis. Double check to make sure appropriate signatures for receiving is on documents. - Become efficient in maintaining proper inventory levels by working with management on cycle counts and make recommendations for purchasing and verifying inventory levels while working with order entry. - Ensure that all staff follow safety procedures and utilize safety equipment/items as required by company rules and policy and maintain compliance with DOT, OSHA and all local, state and federal guidelines. - Promptly notify VP of Operations of deficiencies in warehouse operations or improprieties by personnel. - Understand the petty cash delegation, reconciliation, and upkeep. - Handle any UPS, Federal Express &/or freight company delivery discrepancies or freight damage issues. - Provide leadership, training and direction to assigned personnel. Delegate work to subordinates and assesses their performance regularly. Makes recommendations to upper management regarding all types of personnel actions for assigned subordinates. - Supervise time clock management, payroll distribution, benefits and attendance upkeep. - Maintain positive communication and contact with sales reps, including A/R status questions, direct and special order research, pricing verification and vendor support and company correspondence. - Perform other duties as assigned by management. Generate statistics, reports, or other documentation, as required in the performance of duties, work schedules, hours and overtime as directed by management. Job Qualifications: Minimum of two (2) years of experience in operations and warehouse operations, (order filling, customer service, bookkeeping, records retention, document processing, basic supply chain management understanding), or comparable other office and operation experience in durable or non-durable goods distribution environment. Physically capable of handling of inventory by pulling and loading trucks.
