Grief is a difficult and painful emotion, and often misunderstood.
Societal expectations, cultural norms and social nuances further complicate matters at a time when a griever needs compassion, care and a safe space in which to mourn a loss.
This class introduces massage therapists to important tools, language and techniques, to confidently address grief and help grieving clients. It also provides an overview of how the body processes and expresses grief. Simple techniques, and designing treatment and post massage care plans, all while staying in the scope of practice, help massage therapists feel empowered and confident as they hold space for their clients.
NOTE: This is a continuing education class for professional Massage Therapists only. This class is not open to other professions or the public.
