Join Dr. Richard Booth, licensed mental health clinician and professor at Brown University, for a discussion on best practices in trauma-informed educational practices, hosted by a collaboration with T.D.N and T.R.U.E Diversity
Participants can expect to engage in an interactive workshop and discussion. Content will draw from psychological theory, evidence-based principles, and a strength-based perspective for exploring the subjective experiences of teachers and educators serving students and families, while exploring how trauma (including vicarious and historical), stress, and anxiety (exacerbated by the long-term consequences of COVID-19) impact core neurological functioning and behaviors of students, families, and communities they interact with.
Bring your experiences, your questions, and your friends! We are eager to bring together this professional learning community to empower educators and equip them with the tools necessary to meet this moment. Attendees will receive recognition for their participation.
Donations will be accepted at the door.
