Gourmet Market in Key Biscayne, is looking for a Produce Specialist to join our strong team. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious, and engaged.ResponsibilitiesMaintains proper product assortment, merchandising, and inventory control.Provides premier customer service, including greeting customers and answering their questions.Sets and achieves the highest standards of retail execution.Fills, rotates, and cleans produce cases, racks, displays, shelves, cooler, and refrigerated displays as needed.Unloads product from trucks and organizes coolers and back rooms.Sells products by providing customers with information needed to make product-related decisions.Assists in ordering the proper amount of product for the department.Processes and/or wraps produce items prior to filling cases Verifies ads, hangs current sale signs, and removes out-of-date sale signs while performing routine price changes on products.Assists with other duties as assigned.QualificationsBilingual (english / spanish) Advanced knowledge of products, buying, pricing, merchandising, and inventory management Food safety certification. Excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, and customer relationship skills. Capable of teaching others in a positive and constructive manner. Product knowledge. * Advanced knowledge of regulatory and safety policies and procedures. Proficient mathematical skills for assessing financial performance, monitoring profitability, and managing inventory. Demonstrated decision-making ability, leadership skills, and ability to prioritize and delegate.
