February is Heart Health Month. Risk factors for heart disease and stroke, like high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and obesity can be reduced with consistent eating patterns of heart-healthy foods. This can include limiting saturated fat and sodium and adding in more fiber and antioxidants. Beans and legumes are sources of plant-based protein that provides heart-healthy fiber and no saturated fat. Join Lydia Conner, RDN, LD, Community Outreach Dietitian, Parkview Center for Healthy Living to learn some new recipes around beans and legumes.
