The Community Counseling Center Foundation will host the Superheroes Have a Heart for Kids Luncheon on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Drury Plaza Conference Center in Cape Girardeau starting at 11:30 a.m. The event will raise funds for the Community Counseling Center’s Children’s Services Division, including Cottonwood Inpatient Diversion/Residential Treatment, Day Treatment, School Based Counseling, and Outpatient services. Children’s Services helps children ages 5-18 (some cases up to 21 years) with chronic and persistent mental health disorders, avoid psychiatric hospitalization and continue to live within the community. They provide a place where children can get the support, therapy and education services they need while avoiding hospitalization.
