Description

Bring all your questions, concerns or even curiosities about Arkansas foster care or adoption to the Faulkner County Library on Jan. 31st and Foster Love and the Arkansas Division of Children and Family Services will be there with the answers! We'll outline the requirements and the approval process. We'll also tell you the realities of foster care and the desperate need for parents like you to take in these children. Arkansas has nearly 5,000 children and teens in foster care and only about 1,600 foster parents. There are more than 300 children and teens that need adoptive homes. You don't have to be an expert parent; just one with enough compassion and love in their hearts to share with these kiddos. Come see us at 6 p.m. on Jan. 31st. Walk-ins are welcome! Bring a friend. Foster Love is an Arkansas nonprofit that recruits, trains and supports foster and adoptive parents. We are all-inclusive and welcome foster and adoptive parents from all walks of life. We accept all faiths and nonfaiths. We embrace the LGBTQIA+ community and are fierce advocates for foster children within that community. We are especially focused on creating accepting homes for LGBTQIA+ foster children. Foster Love also provides a place of belonging, support and fellowship for existing foster and adoptive parents.
