Greater Miami Service Corps in collaboration with City of Miami Board of City Commissioners, Christine King, Chairwoman; Miami Dade County Board of County Commissioner, Keon Hardemon, District 3; Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Gamma Zeta Omega Chapter; and Miami-Dade County Community Action and Human Services Department presents the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Service Project for 2023. Activities include painting, mulching, litter removal, and planting between 62nd Street and 10th Avenue to 22nd Avenue; 54th Street and 6th Avenue (Butterfly Garden East and West); and 62nd Street and 6th Avenue (MLK Marquee). Wear sturdy shoes, comfortable clothing, and sunscreen; bring your gloves (disposable gloves will be provided); masks (optional). Breakfast snacks and other refreshments will be provided. Project orientation will start promptly at 9:00 a.m. Volunteers will be transported to project sites as needed.
